Where is the product shipped from?

We ship domestically out of our distribution center in Melvindale, MI.

Can individuals with a shellfish allergy have an adverse reaction to the use of Tricol’s chitosan-based products?

When manufacturing our proprietary chitosan, Chito+, we eliminate any residual shrimp protein, which is the frequent allergen. There have been no known or suspected allergic reactions as a result of using HemCon products since we began distributing in 2002. Over one million of our dressings have been used all over the world with no adverse effects reported. In a study conducted on 221 individuals, no subjects demonstrated any dermal sensitivity when tested against our chitosan material.
