We ship domestically out of our distribution center in Melvindale, MI.

Do individuals with a shellfish allergy have an adverse reaction to the use of Tricol’s chitosan-based products?

There are no reported allergic reactions to date caused by the OneStop or HemCon brands of products manufactured by Tricol Biomedical. The shellfish-derived chitosan that we use in the manufacture of these products has not been shown to produce any adverse reactions in people who are allergic to shellfish. In a study of 221 individuals with suspected hypersensitivity, none exhibited prick-reactions to chitosan, while 4 reacted positively to fish and 8 to shrimp allergens. *
